Those Crazy Canadians . . . and a few more links
In the vein of Mr. Splashypants, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation has been duped by it’s own generosity. Inviting the whole internet to come up with a new theme song for its hockey show (attracting C$100,000 plus royalties for the winner), they have been offered this gem, featuring babies, sheep and cats.
And it’s doing quite well.
And now to links . . . photographer Phillip Toledano has created an interesting project interviewing and photographing phone sex operators. Sounds lurid, but it’s actually really fascinating.
And for all you Christmas in July people, here’s a stop motion animation from 1913 (apparently) that’s rather cute. It features skiing insects and Santa making out with a dead frog. Wheee!
Oh, I nearly forgot! If anyone in the Melbourne area is interested, my Bellydance teacher along with others around Melbourne are putting on a Halfa next week at Carni in Preston. I’ll be dancing with some of the other beginners, so come along and laugh at me if you like (I’m still struggling with the whole left vs. right concept).
